The infamous confraternity of monks is back with their second sin called „Psalm II“ and brandishes the scourge of perdition over the heads of all confessing evil-doers. Forget about what you learned about the rosary! “Psalm II” is to pray from now on!

POTENTIA ANIMI managed to widen the borders of medieval music again with their (un)holy chants that are mixed up with some modern rock attitude and a certain pop appeal. Frivolous and waggish lyrics fuse with archaic and sacral choir arrangements, rocking cittern “riffing” and hypnotic medieval rhythms. Nobody will remain seated, no matter how virginal and chastely his soul’s character turns out.

The monks show how to handle old and dusty traditions in an unforced and unorthodox way. The result: They transfer these medieval rites into our modern times without losing anything of their identity, but with gaining them a lot of originality instead.

Listen to the haunting “Ave Maria”, the fast and organ-driven “Eifersucht”, the medieval hip-hop crossover “Qui Per Mundum” or the dancefloor like “Viva L’Amore”! These are four highlights that will take all chapels by storm as well as dancefloors.
